Zurich had the (Zurich) lions, then the (Swiss) cows and recently the (city) benches. The cows cought on in New York. Wonder why. Now New York has the apples.
Compared to Zurich, New York is much bigger. The apples are not. It is not always easy to find them. And they are placed next to huge buildings, where they sometimes appear a bit lost. Some are even inside bildings where it is prohibited to make pictures.
When I visited NY in the last week of August, quite a few of the apples were still within the Design Orchard, where the artists were working on them. Regrettably, the "orchard" was closed to the public.

Hopefully they soon will be all out in the open, and placed where people can see them and enjoy.
